Seeing is Believing

We organized our bathrooms and closets over the weekend. Much to our horror, we had been buying toothpaste like it was going out of style. There were a few tubes here, a few there and some over there. In the end, 33 tubes of Colgate!
Stocking stuffers for next year??

Mother's Day Dinner

What does mom like best???? Hot pot!!!!!

We had the family over for a mother's day celebration a few weeks ago. The hot pot was enjoyed by all. The boys wanted to cook for everyone...just throw it into the pot and hope for the best. In the end, mom and day were forced to eat it.

That's Our Son

Just recently, the school had their annual sports day. The weather cooperated and the event was so well organized. The kids had a blast and it was a good reason to take the day off of work.

Andrew participated in all of the events, what a trooper he was here in the 200 meter (finished 2nd). Last year, he didn't do so well, probably because my husband didn't give him a drink of his red bull, filled him up with carbohydrates the night before and, put his DS unit at the finish line and told him to run and get it.

Nature

The kids at Caleb's daycare were fascinated with this worm. It slithered along the grass seeking a warm, wet place to sleep before it comes out again.

We can buy the fanciest toy for our kids, but it is the simple things that keep their attention. At Edith's daycare, Caleb is leaning so much. I'm not sure what happened to the worm but, my husband did check Caleb's coat pockets to make sure it wasn't brought home.

Pine Wood Cars

Andrew got involved in the timeless tradition of building a pine wood car last month. His dad helped him build this great looking car (the one with the yellow spoiler). The two of them spent days cutting, sanding and painting the car. The end product looked great. Andrew's inspiration was "the King" from the movie Cars.
The two of them also built a car for Caleb to play with, just so he wouldn't feel left out. We are now the proud owners of a scroll saw and will be building these annually. The boys had such a great time.
