Playoff Fever

Hockey is still alive and well here. My husband, Andrew and, to a certain extent Caleb are die-hard Canuck fans. Yes, my husband hops on and off the bandwagon, but the whole house was chanting "Go Canucks Go" this evening.
The boys had on their Canuck jerseys! Its was a good omen, the team won and are now off to Round 2.

Left Over Musings

We got our monthly cd from Caleb's daycare this week. March was special as he celebrated his birthday during the month. Edith does a great job in having the kids acknowledge the special day and my husband, the night before, had baked some cupcakes for their mini celebration.
Caleb is pictured here thinking "My dad is great, he should be a baker!!!!" Max on the other hand is thinking "if I inhale this cupcake, I can have the other two".

LangLang Creations

We recently met up with the inspirations of our blog...the one and only Kiera and Hayden! It is fun to watch them grow and peak into their daily activities. Their blog is very funny and I am amazed at how the mom finds time to constant add to her site. Check them out at www.langlangcreations.blogspot.com/

Anger Management

We were invited to a birthday party last weekend and it had a distinct Mexican theme. The highlight of the event was when the kids had a chance to "hit" the pinata. If you saw how some of the kids loaded up and hit the poor bird, I was surprized a child welfare agency representative didn't arrive to take down all the of the names of those attending this event. There were serious anger management issues (or a good venting of frustration) from the kids. In the end, the bird was sacrificed and its inners guts (albeit candy) was shared by all of us.

Pizza

The other day, at a bus stop near our house, a frozen food company was giving out free pizzas - not these postage size samples you get at Costco, but actual whole pizzas. It was limited to one per person. My husband said that mini vans, packed with parents, kids, cousins, uncles and aunts were driving up, all getting out for this free pizza promotion. There were people lining up twice to get pizza! He couldn't believe it.

My husband calls me up frantically, as if he had won the lottery, telling me to pack up the kids and meet him at the bus stop. I didn't know what to expect...maybe we did win the lottery. Well, getting four frozen pizzas was quite a surprise. Did I mention most of the people getting in line for the pizzas were Asians?!?

Favourite Pic

Thought we would share one of our favourite pictures of Caleb with you. Believe it or not, that's Barak Obama sitting behind him!
